Forgiveness Changes Everything

Forgiveness Changes Everything

by Joshua T. Kho

Greetings to all men and Merry Christmas! First off, thank you for your prayers and support for Men-In-Progress. It is truly wonderful to know that many of you have been blessed because of this magazine. To God be all the glory!

This issue will be a special one, because it is a “first-of-its-kind” since we started publishing Men-In-Progress. This issue will contain only one article because I believe it delivers a powerful and timely message for all of us.

I would like to tell you how I came up with the theme for this issue. I wanted something joyful for this issue so I did some brainstorming and asked myself about things related to Christmas. Things like celebration, joy, love, peace, and giving popped into my mind. What really struck me the most is giving, maybe because Christmas is a season of giving! We give gifts to each other to show them how much we love them and want them to be happy, just like our Heavenly Father showed that He loves us by giving us His Son, Jesus Christ. The Bible says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only begotten Son.” (John 3:16)

The main theme of this issue has got something to do with the word “give.” Our theme is all about ForGIVEness. I submit to you that the best gift we can give to someone this Christmas season is the gift of forgiveness. We can give the most expensive of gifts, but if we still harbor hate for someone the gift amounts to nothing much. Additionally, if we want to have fruitful and wonderful relationships, we must be ready to forgive, for without forgiveness there can be no harmony, no intimate relationship. Keeping all this in mind I present to you a true father-son story full of pain, anger, and hate. But…forgiveness changed everything.
