When Bill and Kim first arrived in the Philippines in 1988, they began with simple dialect radio programs. Under their visionary leadership, APMedia evolved to encompass full-length movies, social media content, and comprehensive digital ministry training. Their commitment to marrying media with missions created a lasting impact across the region, resulting in a thriving Manila-based team that now includes 10 full-time workers.

Bill and Kim's work pioneered approaches to media ministry that have equipped countless believers to share the gospel through contemporary communication channels.

Passing the Torch: New Leadership Takes the Helm

Earlier this month, Rev. Keith Garner assumed the role of APMedia director. Keith and his wife, Delsey, joined the APMedia team in 2018, bringing valuable experience from their previous work as mission workers in Saipan and as pastors in Illinois, USA.

Although Bill and Kim have returned to the USA to be near family in Memphis, Tennessee. Bill continues assisting the ministry from this new base by promoting APMedia's work to US churches.

Transforming Digital Battlegrounds into Mission Fields

The ministry that Bill and Kim built continues their vision of transforming digital spaces across Asia Pacific. APMedia remains committed to training believers to engage thoughtfully in digital environments, bringing wisdom, grace, and truth to online conversations.

Looking ahead to the remainder of 2025, APMedia is launching several strategic initiatives that build on APMedia's rich legacy:

  • Media Missionary Training across the region

  • Expanded Podcast Network featuring programs like the "Black Shirt Crew"

  • Technical Equipment Grants for under-resourced communities

To fund these initiatives that extend Bill and Kim's legacy, APMedia has established a fundraising goal of $17,500 by May 2025, with $13,500 already secured. Funds received will directly support productions and projects under Rev. Garner's leadership while continuing the vision that Bill and Kim established through their decades of service.

APMedia embraces a new chapter through this leadership transition while honoring Bill and Kim's foundational work in using media to share messages of hope, truth, and love throughout Asia Pacific.
