The Wake-Up Call That Is Shaking Vietnam

In Vietnam, something incredible is stirring. For years, churches longed to share the gospel beyond their walls but didn’t know where to begin. When the Asia Pacific Media team arrived for the current training, the atmosphere shifted—hearts opened, vision grew, and hands learned to create. What began many years ago is gaining a new momentum.

“We want to use social media for our church but we do not know how to start,” shared Abraham Chao. “That is the reason we decided to enroll in this media training.”

As pastors and workers leaned into the sessions, the possibilities began to dawn.

“If we use social media, people will be able to know us,” Abraham continued. “We can make videos and posts, and it will be easy to connect with them.”

The Wake-Up Call That Is Shaking Vietnam

One young lady admitted her fear before the training: “I was scared and worried I could not understand all the things being taught. But this training opened my mind. My postings before were not profound—but through this class, I learned how to make them meaningful.”

Another confessed he had never even heard of AI. “But through this training, I now learned how to use it. And I realize if I apply it, it will help me greatly in my ministry.”

The hunger is real. The need is urgent. And the doors are opening wider than ever before. “In the North, we’ve had to be so careful,” explained Tori Tran. “But now the government is more open, and I think it’s time for us to use media to share the Gospel. People spend so much time on TikTok and Facebook—why don’t we use these platforms to help them know God?”

Her voice softens with hope: “My dream is for the young generation to know the gospel.”

From fear to fire, from hesitation to holy boldness—Vietnam is rising. And this is the moment we cannot miss.

Doors that seemed permanently locked are swinging wide open. Visual storytelling is leading to real conversations. Real conversations are leading to real conversions.

When Leadership Goes All-In

Leadership in Vietnam is stepping into uncharted territory with holy courage in the digital landscape. This isn’t hesitation. This isn’t a side project.

This is leadership declaring with conviction that the media is not simply an accessory to ministry—it is a lifeline for reaching a nation of more than tens of million people.

By lifting media to the same level as preaching, teaching, and sending, Vietnam’s leaders are saying: we will move forward, we will meet this generation where they are, and we will not let the Gospel be muted in the noise of the world.

It’s leadership that doesn’t look back at what was, but leans forward into what God is doing. Bold. Visionary. Willing to reframe ministry so that the message of Christ flows through every channel possible.

Because when leaders rise with vision, the Church doesn’t just keep pace with culture—it runs ahead with the light of Christ.

Your $120 Creates a Multiplication Miracle

Here's what one trained Vietnamese media missionary accomplishes:

  • Reaches an entire generation through TikTok and social platforms

  • Opens dialogue in communities that were closed to the Gospel

  • Trains other believers, multiplying impact through their network of friends and other leaders.

  • Creates sustainable media ministry infrastructure across dozens of churches

Be a Part of the Movement

Right now, tens of millions of people are online. Most are young. Many have never heard the Gospel presented in a way that connects with their digital-native hearts.

The revolution is happening with or without us. The question is: will you help fan the flame and support this?

In the nearly four decades I’ve been in ministry, I've never seen an opportunity like this. The Vietnamese church leaders are begging for training. The infrastructure is ready. The hearts are prepared.

We have an immediate funding need to raise up 40 more partners to respond to the need for media training into many trainings across the greater Asia Pacific.

Will you join this revolution?
