The Faces of Media Missions: Real Missionaries. Real Stories. Real Impact.

ree

November always seems to arrive wrapped in gratitude — the scent of harvest in the air, the turning of leaves, and the reminder that generosity is the language of heaven. For Asia Pacific Media, it’s also the month that determines how many digital missionaries we’ll be able to train and send into the world next year.

But before we talk about giving, I want you to meet a few faces. Not statistics. Not projects. People. Men and women whose lives — and ministries — are being changed because someone like you said “yes.”

“I was scared… but this training opened my mind.”

Her name is Linh, a young church worker in northern Vietnam — a region where, for decades, Christians have had to whisper their faith. When she first walked into APMedia’s training, her hands trembled.

“I was scared and worried I couldn’t understand all the things being taught,” she said. “But this training opened my mind. My postings before were not profound—but through this class, I learned how to make them meaningful.”

Today, Linh is creating social media content that reaches thousands of young people who may never walk into a church — but who scroll through their phones every day searching for hope.

And Linh isn’t alone.

“My dream is for the young generation to know the Gospel.”

In another part of Vietnam, Tori Tran stood before our team with tears in her eyes.

“In the North, we’ve had to be so careful. But now the government is more open. People spend so much time on TikTok and Facebook — why don’t we use these platforms to help them know God? My dream is for the young generation to know the Gospel.”

Through APMedia’s training, Tori learned how to reach her peers online — and her dream is multiplying. In the past two years alone, more than 100 new congregations have been planted in Vietnam. Media training is the spark that’s lighting the fire.

“This will spark a fire that spreads the Gospel.”

In the Philippines, a young filmmaker named Juan Luis Ventura founded Faithwoven Productions with a bold vision: to bring Christian stories back to the big screen.

“Christian films are often overshadowed by secular themes,” he told us. “That’s why Faithwoven was born—to bring Christian stories to the box office, to the public.”

Through APMedia’s Likha Short Film Lab, Juan and his team learned the art and calling of storytelling that points people to Jesus.

“Likha filled the gaps in our knowledge and skills,” he said. “It equipped us to complete our film and strengthened our entire team. I’m praying this project will spark a fire that spreads the gospel.”

“I didn’t know how… but training changed everything.”

When Pastor Darrien Baez from the Philippines realized his church needed a digital presence, he felt overwhelmed.

“I didn’t know how to do church media,” he said. “But I brought my young people to APMedia’s training—and that changed everything.”

Now, his church is alive with creativity. Services are livestreamed, evangelism videos are shared, and young people who were once distracted are now leading, creating, and discipling.

“Our media ministry is now evangelism, discipleship, missions—it’s everything,” Pastor Darrien said. “It makes my ministry easier, and it makes the message go farther.”

“You need to utilize media or you will not reach the next generation.”

In Indonesia, a church leader named Gatut issued a powerful challenge to over 120 pastors:

“You need to utilize media to reach the next generation, or you will not reach the young people with the gospel.”

He’s right. And Indonesia is responding. After one church applied what they learned from APMedia training, their social media reach doubled in one month. Now, the Assemblies of God in Indonesia has launched an official Media Division—placing media ministry on the same level as missions, pastoral care, and education.

The revolution is happening. The question is — will we have the resources to keep training those who are asking?

Multiplication in Action

Every $120 you give trains one media missionary for a month.

But here’s the beautiful truth: One trained missionary doesn’t just reach their church — they multiply. They train others. They create content that reaches thousands. They open doors in communities once closed to traditional ministry.

Your gift doesn’t just support a program. It multiplies God’s message across Asia Pacific.

Why November Matters

November is our most crucial month. This is when the majority of our yearly support arrives — the fuel that determines how far the message of Jesus will travel next year.

Right now, we’re praying for 40 new monthly partners before December 31.

Your monthly gift helps us plan and say yes when missionaries like Tori, Juan, and Linh ask for training.

  • $10/month – helps fund reliable training

  • $25/month – trains two missionaries every quarter

  • $50/month – sponsors one missionary each month

  • $120/month – equips an entire church media team

Or, if God leads you to make a one-time year-end gift, every amount helps us finish 2025 strong.

The Doors Are Open. Let’s Walk Through Them Together.

For 37 years, we’ve watched God open doors across Asia Pacific. And right now, the doors are wide open:

  • Myanmar: restrictions easing after decades

  • Vietnam: government permissions expanding

  • Indonesia: the national church embracing media ministry

  • Mongolia: invitations to train returning

  • Philippines: young filmmakers rising up

But we can’t train everyone who’s asking — not without more partners like you.

The faces of media missions are waiting.

Tori is waiting.

Juan is waiting.

Pastor Darrien is waiting.

Linh is waiting.

Not for a program — but for the equipping that will help them reach their generation with the timeless message of Jesus Christ.

Together, we can multiply His message.

Together, we can change the digital landscape of Asia Pacific.
